Default Question on the ALX ICC Report vs Your Install Instructions
Hi,
This is Bill Leys. I'm doing a job for a customer who has Westcoat ALX spec'd on it, and being hungry, I bid the job and got it.
The customers had questioned me though, since their spec is for WP-40 to be on every inch of plywood, about the Class A fire classification.
Their question is your ICC report reflects fire test data submitted without the WP-40 tested, but since the spec calls for it, am I Class A compliant or not using WP_40 on the whole deck? What about just over the seams? Is there test data showing WP-40's burn resistance meets Class A to support a yes answer to either of these two questions?

This could to be a major issue if wp-40 isn't Class A compliant...

Please forward as pdf attachments any test data you have, including the One Hour E119 Fire Test you say you have showing that ALX's meets the requirements of.

ICC overrides your instructions, so it's a Catch 22, my customer needs an answer soon. Left an email message yesterday, a phone call today...

To end your wondering, yes, I did post this on my blog, so an answer is appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill Leys

You should leave me on your forum, it's good for everyone to have a dialog...that's open 360 degrees to all sides
